Emotions and the Stomach, Spleen and Pancreas

The stomach, spleen and pancreas are organs that break down our foods so that the nutrients within them can be absorbed. The main function of the stomach acid is to accomplish two things:

  1. Food breakdown - Proteins, Carbs, and Fats
  2. Kill any microbes within the food
Eating any processed foods or foods we are sensitive to can make the stomach overwork to try and break down the “fake” food. This can create a depletion of energy within the stomach, which leads to the body not being able to process the emotions associated with the stomach. The emotions then store and get stuck.

When foods cannot be broken down properly within the stomach, it will produce:
  • bags under eyes and puffy cheeks
  • eye gunk
  • gas
  • abdominal distention
  • a "gross feeling”
  • pain or tenderness right under the sternum, left side of abdomen under the rib cage

The Emotions that can be produced from this:
  • Low Self-Esteem
  • Disgust with your image
  • Lack of Control or overwhelmed with everything!
  • Hopelessness
  • Worried
  • Over Concern
Remember… YOU ARE NOT CRAZY! You may have just eaten something that didn’t agree with you!
